IP Details + Threat Report 📍
Security Notice
Description
Find out your IP details, including the IP’s threat report (whether reported for spam, fraud etc) all in one go
## Usecase
- To find out what server/country you are connected to in any free VPN app that doesn’t permit selecting a country
- To find out your IP on-the-go
- To find out if the IP is “clean” or “tainted” (ie. if reported for spam, fraud etc).
## What you need
You need an API Key from [ipdata.co](https://ipdata.co) for this shortcut to work.
Signup on their website and get your free API Key, then append/add the api key to the end of the url in the first/opening URL action.

## Note
This is a 2nd variant of a similar shortcut I posted [here](https://browse.shortcuty.app/shortcut/297393d0-8a68-4072-83df-d370a37ff7b2). I am keeping this as a separate shortcut because it utilizes ipdata.co & requires an API Key from them; while the other one is kept simple using ipwho.is (direct .json output) & doesn’t require an API Key nor account.
If you prefer the simple/1st variant, get it [here](https://browse.shortcuty.app/shortcut/297393d0-8a68-4072-83df-d370a37ff7b2). However, note that it doesn’t give Threat Report because ipwho.is doesn’t include that info in their api.

## Recommendations
For quick access, I recommend you add a button in your Control Center that launches this shortcut

## Ready & set for automation in future
Currently, this shortcut cannot be ideally automated. That is, it would work best if Apple adds a _“when VPN connects/disconnects”_ or _“when network changes”_ actions in the Automation tab as an option to select.
