This is the e first release of this shortcut. - Sets time on a calendar of user’s choice which needs to be typed in the shortcut. - When run it calls an Adhan API to retrieve the exact time for user’s location, anywhere in the world. - Sets the same time in Apple Reminders. Hence, a separate Reminders list should be created by the user and add the name in the shortcut. If the Reminders is not needed, the user could delete that portion of the code. - It also sets an alarm for the user for the time of the prayers. Again, if not needed, the users need to delete that portion of the code. - The code assumes a 45 minute prayer window which can also be customized. - It also assumes a specific Madhab and how to calculate time, which could be changed at the top portion of the code. - API information has been provided for users to be able to retrieve the information as their necessity dictates.

Description

The goal this shortcut to benefit Muslim users for the sake of Allah, especially for those who cannot or does not want to spend the money to buy a solution to setup 5 daily Islamic prayer time and pray. This is FREE to use and distribute to others so they all could benefit. This shortcut adds 5 daily Islamic prayer times and forbidden time to prayer at 3 different locations: 1) Calendar of your choice, 2) Reminders and 3) Alarm in clock. The shortcut needs to be run any time after 12:01 AM from any time zone preferably using automations so once it’s set, it will automatically run and put the prayer times for the user. It will require some permissions on the phone such as location to identify the prayer times for the location, deleting data to remove existing prayer data from calendar or reminders or clock etc. Ideally, you must run the shortcut once after opening it and using the play button on your phone. This will show what permissions may be needed and user can provide the permissions easily. If the shortcut is run after it ran already, it would delete the previous times and will add new times based on the location of the user. For example, if the user ran the shortcut at 2 am using automation from Australia, then traveled to Poland the same day, the user can simply run this shortcut again which will delete previous times from calendar, reminder and clock and will add new times based on the user’s new time zone / location. If you do not want certain feature such as do not want to add to your clock, then you’d need to go through the code to remove the code that adds to your clock as alarm. So it’s pretty flexible.
